Softgels Going Green: Thoughts on the Plant-Based Trend?

Just saw this article about softgels and plant-based gelling agents. Looks like the market is really pushing for vegan and clean label stuff. What do you all think? Are plant-based softgels actually better or just hype?

Honestly, I don't care about gelling agents as long as my kids' vitamins work and they actually take them. But if plant-based means no weird aftertaste, I'm all for it. My oldest is super picky.

I'm all about clean labels. Been avoiding gelatin for years since I'm paleo. Plant-based softgels are a game changer for me. But gotta watch out for carrageenan and other additives. Read the labels, folks!

Interesting. I'm a big fan of any tech that improves absorption. Plant-based materials might change how the softgel dissolves, so I'd like to see more studies. Also, could be a win for sustainability if they use renewable sources.
