THREAD: Started softgels for sleep but WOW my skin is glowing??Started by JuiceJenny217

Hey everyone! So I've been taking these gummy softgels for about 3 weeks now - originally got them because I was having trouble falling asleep (the melatonin ones). But here's the weird thing: my sleep is only slightly better, but my SKIN is like... next level? I've struggled with dry patches forever and suddenly they're gone. Anyone else experience something totally unexpected like this?

OMG yes! I give my kids the vitamin D softgels during winter months, but I started taking them myself for seasonal blues. Noticed my nails stopped breaking and my hair feels thicker! The carrier oils in some softgels (like coconut or olive oil) can have amazing side benefits. Which brand are you using? I'm always looking for clean options without artificial colors for my family.

Fascinating synchronicity! The body often uses supplements in ways we don't anticipate. Softgels typically contain oils that enhance bioavailability - you might be experiencing improved nutrient absorption affecting multiple systems. Have you checked if yours contain astaxanthin or sea buckthorn? Both support skin health. The universe guides us to what we need, not always what we think we need ✨

YogaYara - I'm using the 'Nature's Rest' brand! They use sunflower oil as the carrier. DynamicDan547 - just checked and yes, they have astaxanthin! That must be it. Makes me wonder if I should switch to a daytime formula since the sleep effect isn't that strong for me. Maybe my body was telling me I needed skin support more than sleep aid?

Sunflower oil is great for skin! I mix it with essential oils for DIY face serums. Maybe try taking them in the morning instead? Sometimes the 'sleep' effect is just placebo if the dose is low. My sister had something similar with collagen softgels - took them for joints but her eczema cleared up. Bodies are weird in the best way!
