THREAD: Are Vitamin C Gummies Just Candy in Disguise? Sugar Content ConcernsStarted by NatureNancy375

Hey everyone, I'm a bit frustrated. My kids refuse to swallow regular vitamin C tablets, so I switched to gummies. But looking at the label... 5g of sugar per serving! That's like giving them candy with a vitamin sticker. As a sleep-deprived parent, the convenience is amazing, but I feel like I'm compromising their health. Anyone else struggling with this?

Nancy, I totally get it! As someone on a paleo diet, I avoid processed sugars like the plague. The 'candy-fication' of supplements is a real issue. I switched to whole food sources like bell peppers and strawberries for vitamin C. Maybe try making fruit smoothies with citrus? It's more work, but at least you know what's in it. These gummy companies are just capitalizing on our busy lives.

Great discussion! As a wellness influencer, I've tested dozens of brands. Yes, many gummies are sugar bombs, but there ARE clean options out there. Look for ones sweetened with monk fruit or stevia, and check for artificial colors. Sometimes, a little sugar is worth it if it means actual compliance—especially for kids. I'd rather see someone take a gummy daily than skip vitamins altogether! #Balance

Thanks both! Mia, I wish I had time for smoothies every morning (maybe when I'm less sleep-deprived, lol). Sam, any brand recommendations? I'm willing to pay more for something cleaner. My 7-year-old will revolt if I take away his 'vitamin candy' though... parenting is hard!

Nancy, try 'PureC Gummies'—they use organic tapioca syrup instead of refined sugar, and no artificial stuff. I've partnered with them before (full disclosure!), but genuinely like the product. Also, consider halving the dose? Less sugar but still some benefits. And Mia makes a good point—pairing with real fruit helps too! Let us know what you decide 💪
