THREAD: Vitamin C Gummies - Are we overdoing it with dosage?Started by OP

Hey everyone, just saw this article and thought it was super relevant to our gummy vitamin chats! # Are you taking supplements correctly? Here’s a guide on their dosage limits A recent report highlights a critical, yet often overlooked, aspect of the booming supplement industry: the importance of sticking to recommended doses, especially with things like Vitamin C gummies that taste like candy. It mentions how easy it is to pop extra because they're delicious, but that can lead to issues like stomach upset or nutrient imbalances. What do you all think? Are we being mindful enough with our gummy intake?

OMG, this is so important! As a mom, I give my kids Vitamin C gummies daily, but I'm always checking the labels. The article's right – it's tempting to let them have more 'cause they beg for them like treats. I stick to one a day per the bottle, even if they're sick. Anyone else struggle with this? We need to treat them like medicine, not candy, folks!

Totally agree with Mila! I'm a granola parent too, and I've seen friends just hand out gummies willy-nilly. The dosage limits are there for a reason – Vitamin C is water-soluble, so excess usually gets peed out, but too much can cause diarrhea or kidney stones in rare cases. I'd add: always consult a doc if you're unsure, esp. for kids. Good share, OP!

As a keto believer, I'm all about supplements, but yeah, dosage matters. I take Vitamin C gummies to support my immune system on this diet, but I keep it to the RDA (like 90mg for adults). The article's spot on – don't go overboard just 'cause it's a gummy. Btw, anyone found sugar-free options that don't mess with ketosis? That's my big Q.

Love this discussion! As a wellness influencer, I've posted about this before – it's all about balance. Vitamin C gummies are great for convenience and taste, but mindfulness is key. I recommend setting a daily alarm or using a pill organizer to avoid overdoing it. Also, consider getting levels checked if you're taking high doses long-term. Thanks for the article link, super helpful for my followers!
