THREAD: Weird side effect from my Vitamin C gummies - anyone else?Started by MangoMia123

Hey everyone, been taking these Vitamin C gummies for about 2 weeks now (the orange-flavored ones from the health store). They taste great and I feel like my immune system is better, but I've been having SUPER vivid dreams every night! Like, last night I dreamt I was cooking a giant mango soufflé in a castle kitchen with talking spoons. It's not scary or anything, just really intense and weird. Has anyone else experienced this with Vitamin C gummies? Is this normal??

OP, I haven't had vivid dreams, but I did notice my pee is brighter yellow since starting Vitamin C gummies last month. I'm on the go 24/7 with back-to-back meetings, so I just chalked it up to better hydration or something. Quick Google search says excess Vitamin C can do that—it's water-soluble, so your body just pees out what it doesn't need. Might be harmless, but if you're worried, maybe cut back to one gummy instead of two? I stick to one daily with my morning coffee.

lol MangoMia, that dream sounds awesome! I'm a caffeine addict (3-4 coffees a day, no shame), and I started Vitamin C gummies to offset the jitters. No weird dreams here, but my taste buds have been acting up—suddenly my usual black coffee tastes kinda metallic? Might be unrelated, but it started around the same time. Maybe it's the gummy flavoring or sweeteners messing with our senses? I'm not too stressed, but following this thread for more input.

Interesting observations. As a biohacker, I track everything. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) can affect neurotransmitters and sleep cycles in high doses—vivid dreams are a reported anecdotal side effect, though not clinically proven. Bright urine is common due to excess riboflavin or Vitamin C excretion. For taste changes, check if your gummies contain zinc or other minerals; they can alter taste perception. OP, consider logging your dosage and dream patterns. I'd recommend sticking to 500-1000mg daily max unless you're deficient. Anyone else tracking their bio-metrics with these?
