THREAD: Can I take my Vitamin D gummies with my morning coffee?Started by OP

Hey everyone, new to the gummy vitamin game here. I just started taking these Vitamin D gummies (2000 IU) every morning, but I usually have my coffee right after breakfast. Is it okay to take them together? I've heard some supplements don't mix well with caffeine. Anyone have experience with this?

As a Paleo guy, I'd say ditch the coffee first lol. But seriously, I take my D3 gummies with my morning meal of eggs and avocado. Fat helps absorption! Coffee might interfere with nutrient uptake—our ancestors didn't have lattes. Maybe space them out by 30 mins?

Oh, this takes me back! I used to blog about my '90s health kicks. I'd have my Flintstones vitamins with orange juice (bad idea, learned later!). For your Q: My doc said Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so take with food. Coffee on an empty stomach might upset things. Try having your gummy with breakfast, then coffee after. Works for me!

Biohacker here. Data point: Vitamin D absorption peaks with fats. Coffee can slightly reduce mineral absorption due to tannins, but it's minimal if you have food in between. I stack my D gummies with K2 and magnesium glycinate—synergistic effects. For you, just ensure you're not taking on empty stomach. Track your levels with a blood test if concerned.
