Vitamin D gummies making my dreams SUPER vivid?? anyone else?

First off, 5000 IU is a pretty high dose to just start popping. Unless your doc told you to, you're probably overdoing it. That said, vivid dreams aren't a listed side effect of vitamin D. Could be coincidence, could be you're just paying more attention to your dreams because you're expecting something. Placebo's a hell of a drug. But hey, if you're worried, get your levels checked. Or just stop taking them and see if the dreams stop. Simple.

But honestly, the gummies themselves often have other stuff in them—like sugar, gelatin, natural flavors, etc. Could be a reaction to an ingredient. Have you checked the label? Also, why gummies? They're usually full of corn syrup and artificial colors. I switched to a liquid drop in olive oil, way cleaner. But if you like gummies, maybe try a lower dose or take it in the morning. ^^ This. Also, if you're taking it at night, that could be part of it. Vitamin D can be slightly stimulating for some people. Take it with breakfast. And yeah, check the other ingredients. Some gummies have B12 or other stuff that can affect sleep. But vivid dreams? Probably not the D itself. More likely the placebo or something else. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the replies! I do take it in the evening, so maybe that's it. I'll try switching to morning and see if it changes. And yeah, I didn't check the label closely—I'll do that. Not too worried, just weird. If I dream about being a cloud again, I'll let you know. 😂
