Hey everyone, I’ve been taking these Vitamin D gummies for a few months. Just opened a new bottle and they look totally different from the last batch – they’re darker, kind of hard, and some are stuck together. The expiration date is still a year away. Did I get a bad batch? Are they still safe to eat? I don’t want to waste them but also don’t want to get sick. Help!

Happened to me too last summer. Probably heat/moisture during shipping. If they’re just hard or sticky, they’re usually fine, but if they smell weird or have mold, toss ’em. I’d contact the company – they might send a replacement. I ate mine and lived, but I’m no expert lol.

As a parent, I’m super cautious with supplements. Color change can mean oxidation, which might reduce potency but not necessarily make them unsafe. However, if they’re sticking together, that’s moisture – could grow bacteria/mold. I’d say when in doubt, throw it out. Not worth risking your health for a few bucks. Maybe store them in a cool, dry place next time.

Thanks for the quick replies! They don’t smell bad, just look off. I keep them in my bathroom cabinet, which might be the problem – steamy showers. I’ll try contacting the brand and maybe store them in my pantry instead. Still debating whether to eat them…

Bathroom is the worst place for gummies! Humidity ruins them. I’d move them to a cool dark cupboard. If you’re really worried, just call the manufacturer – they’ll tell you if it’s a known issue. But honestly, I’ve eaten worse. Your call though.
